Our Projects/VignerOn

VignerOnWine Distributor Website · Custom WordPress Theme

A distributor with a passion for wines that break conventional boundaries — family producers, organic and biodynamic selections, and a browse experience built around terroir, grapes, and producer stories.

VignerOn hero — hands harvesting grapes, black-and-white

Project Overview

An editorial catalogue for unconventional wines

VignerOn needed more than a brochure: a distinctive digital catalogue for trade and connoisseurs to explore producers by country and grape, open producer profiles (location, hectares, farming, soils), and reach sales contacts. We built a custom WordPress theme (`vigneron`) with a full-height split layout — scrollable content panel + sticky visual/index rail — powered by a Producers custom post type, country taxonomy, ACF fields, Tailwind styling, and theme JS (Slick, Counter-Up).

Our Philosophy — careful selection of distinctive wines

The Challenge

Make a complex wine portfolio feel curated, not cluttered

Distributors carry dozens of producers across countries, soils, and grape varieties. VignerOn needed a browse model that felt editorial and on-brand — not a dense ecommerce grid — while still letting buyers filter by country/grape and open producer detail quickly for trade conversations.

Our Approach

Custom theme + Producers CPT with filterable index

We designed a custom PHP theme with Tailwind utility layout: homepage philosophy/portfolio storytelling, a Producers archive with country pills and grape filters, and a detail rail for producer metadata (location, founded, hectares, farming, soil). Supporting pages cover About (mission & values), Contact (trade email + team phones), site search, and newsletter capture.

The Impact

A brand-led catalogue buyers can navigate

Trade and wine lovers can move from philosophy to portfolio stats, filter producers, inspect organic farming profiles, and enquire for accounts or price lists — all in a distinctive VignerOn visual language (serif typography, bold color panels, B&W photography).

About — passion for wines beyond conventional boundaries

Key Feature 1

Split-panel editorial homepage

Full-viewport layout with an inner-scrolling content column (philosophy, brand, portfolio, stats) and a sticky index rail of soils, grapes, and producers — plus logo, newsletter, and Instagram in the footer frame.

Key Feature 2

Filterable Producers catalogue

Producers CPT with country taxonomy powers filter pills (Austria, France, Georgia, Italy, and more) and grape links. Selecting a producer opens a detail panel with farming method, hectares, and photography.

Key Feature 3

About, Contact & trade outreach
